Duncan is an Aussie fundraising adventurer who is pushing the boundaries of human endurance while advocating for charitable causes. A vegan for eight years, Duncan combines his passion for fitness, environmentalism, and animal rights with extreme challenges that inspire others to rethink what is possible on a plant-based diet.
In 2021, he launched DuncanDOES, a project dedicated to taking on physically demanding expeditions for a cause. His first challenge, saw him solo longboard nearly 1,400 kilometers around Iceland, making him the fifth person in history to accomplish such a feat, raising funds for Sea Shepherd Australia and the Captain Paul Watson Foundation, and helping campaign against Iceland’s controversial whaling industry.
Duncan’s most recent challenge proved to be his toughest yet. He braved the icy waters of Loch Ness, enduring the mental and physical toll of swimming across the iconic Scottish loch. Despite the challenging conditions, Duncan pushed forward, then after emerging from the freezing loch, he set off to climb Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Great Britain. This incredible feat showcases Duncan’s determination, resilience, and adventurous spirit.
Through his DuncanDOES initiative, Duncan hopes to inspire others to step out of their comfort zones, embrace a life of purpose, and use their strengths to make a positive impact in the world.
