Maple Hoisin Tofu

INGREDIENTS
- 450g/15.2oz firm tofu
- ¼ cup cornflour
- 2 Tbsp hoisin sauce
- 3 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp pure sesame oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Serve over rice
METHOD
- Cut tofu into small cubes and coat well with cornflour.
- In a fry pan, heat oil on medium heat. Add tofu and cook until golden.
- In a small bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce, maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, and sesame oil.
- Lower the heat of the fry pan and pour in the sauce mixture, cooking until tofu is well coated and the sauce begins to thicken.
- Serve over rice, and garnish with sesame seeds.
