Falafel Tabouli Wrap
Falafel can be easily bought at supermarkets and while you might not be able to always find tabouli there, it is easy to make yourself.
Serves 1 | Prep time: 20 mins | Cooking time: 0 mins
INGREDIENTS
- 1 medium tomato
- 2 tsp bulgur (cracked wheat)
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- Lemon juice
- 4 tsp hummus
- 1 wholemeal wrap
- 3 falafel balls (store-bought or make your own)
METHOD
- To make tabouli: Dice the tomato into small cubes and place it with the bulgur, parsley and lemon juice in a small bowl. Mix then let stand for about 20 minutes or until the bulgur has softened.
- Spread the hummus on the wrap, then the tabouli. Add the falafel balls then roll them in the wrap ready to eat.

Is this great for meal prepping?
Hi Meka, the ingredients can be prepped ahead of time so that you can have falafel wraps spread over a few days. For instance, have enough ingredients prepared to have one on the day you do your prepping, then store the falafel balls, tabouli, hummus and wrap in the fridge to make wraps over the next couple of days whenever you’ve planned to have them.
I like it but i replaced humus with tahini

You can use tahini instead. It’s quite nutritious.

Hi Donna, you can replace bulgur with quinoa, which is quite nutritious and allows for a similar texture too.

Falafel Tabouli Wrap
loved this but added Sriracha for a bit of a kick.
This was OK but I have found out that I am not a fan of Falafel.
Well at least you tried them to know that you’re not a fan of falafel :)
You could always try a different type of vegetable ball in the wrap and play around with the filling ingredients to make a wrap you really like.
Added some sweet chilli sauce for a bit of heat

We found avocado made for an excellent addition, particularly as the falafel balls erred on the dryer side of things. At the end of the day, we’ll be having this again! Great stuff.
OMG didnt know how wonderful the taste of vegan was until I made the balls!
