Serves 4-5 | Prep time: 10 mins | Cooking time: 20 mins

INGREDIENTS

Dry Mix

  • 1 1/2 cups Wholemeal Flour
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 2 Tbsp Matcha Powder

Wet Mix

  • 1 1/2 cups Plant Milk
  • 1/4 cup Tahini
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Equipment

  • Waffle iron

METHOD

  1. Preheat your waffle iron. In a bowl, combine all your dry ingredients.
  2. In another bowl, whisk your wet ingredients. Make a well in the middle of your dry ingredients and pour in the wet mix. Gently fold until you get a nice smooth batter. Don’t over mix. Some lumps in the batter is completely fine!
  3. Transfer batter into a pouring jug for easy pouring. Cook batter in your waffle maker according to instructions.
  4. Serve with lashings of Maple Syrup and fruit of choice.
