Sweet Valentine’s Chocolates ★★★★★1 review

Easy to make chocolate with just four ingredients. Perfect for a Valentine's Day treat or any other occasion.

Serves (makes) 12 | Prep time: 10 mins + chilling time | Cooking time: 0 mins

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup organic raw cacao powder
  • 1/2 cup organic raw cacao butter (Hint: chop into small pieces to melt faster)
  • 2 Tbsp organic maple syrup or other sweetener (use Agave for a completely raw chocolate)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Chocolate moulds of your choice

METHOD

  1. Melt the cacao butter using the double boiler method (Place the cacao butter in a small bowl then place that bowl into a slightly larger bowl containing boiled water). Stir the cacao butter with a spoon until all pieces have melted.
  2. Add the cacao powder, mix well. Then immediately stir in the sweetener and the vanilla extract.
  3. With a spoon, pour the melted chocolate mixture into the moulds. Place in freezer for 15 to 20 minutes to set. Then pop out the chocolate pieces from the moulds. They are ready to serve or keep in the refrigerator until dessert time!
