Easy Beetroot Hummus

Make your own delicious, creamy beetroot hummus in minutes. Serve with crackers, vegetable sticks, corn chips, pita bread, soya sticks. Whatever you desire!

Serves 12-14 | Prep time: 7 mins | Cooking time: 10 mins


  • 1 can chickpeas, drained & rinsed
  • 1 beetroot, cooked
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • zest & juice of one lemon
  • 3 Tbsp tahini
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp cumin
  • dash of cayenne pepper
  • olive oil, to drizzle


  1. Boil the beetroot then chop into quarters.
  2. After the beetroot has cooled a little, place all ingredients (except the oil) in a blender and blend until creamy.
  3. Drizzle some olive oil on top and serve.
