Dark Chocolate Superfood Bars

These Dark Chocolate Superfood Bars by the talented Marina Wright are easy to make and jam-packed with lots of wholesome ingredients!



  • `1 cup Activated Buckwheat
  • 1 cup GF Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Mixed Nuts
  • 1/2 cup Flax Meal
  • 1/2 cup Pumpkin Seeds
  • 1/4 cup Sesame Seeds
  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
  • 2 tbsp Coconut Oil
  • Pinch of Salt

Chocolate Topping:

  • 200g Vegan Dark Chocolate
  • 2 tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 2 tbsp GojiBerries
  • 2 tbsp Mixed Nuts


  1. To prepare base, preheat oven to 175C/350F. Combine Maple Syrup, Coconut Oil and Salt in a small saucepan and heat till warm. Pour over the rest of your ingredients and mix well to combine.
  2. Press the mixture into a lined baking tin (27x18cm) and bake for 10-12 minutes. Allow to cool.
  3. To prepare topping, combine Chocolate and Coconut Oil in a bowl and melt gently over a double boiler. Once melted, spread over the base and sprinkle with Goji Berries and Nuts. Allow to set in the fridge for 10-15 minutes and then slice and enjoy.
