Cocktail Potato Chaat
Deliciously moreish, this Cocktail Potato Chaat is the perfect quick snack to whip up when you're craving something bold and satisfying. Sprinkled with chaat masala and drizzled with chutneys, creamy soy yoghurt, and bursts of pomegranate, it's a flavour-packed dish that's ready in minutes. INGREDIENTS
- 500g cocktail potatoes
- 1 Tbsp oil
- Cornflour for coating potatoes
- 1 cup tamarind chutney
- 1/2 cup mint & coriander chutney
- 1/2 soy yoghurt
- 1/2 cup fried onion (store-bought)
- 1/2 cup fresh pomegranate seeds
- 1 tsp chaat masala
METHOD
- Wash and cut the cocktail potatoes in half. Microwave them for 5 minutes. (If you don’t have a microwave, boil them in water for 10-15 minutes)
- Using a wide flat spatula, press the potatoes to flatten them, then coat in cornflour.
- Heat up oil in a pan then shallow fry them.
- Once they’re all fried, place the potatoes in a dish then drizzle over the top with tamarind chutney, mint and coriander chutney, soy yoghurt, sprinkle the fried onion, pomegranate seeds, and chaat masala.
- Now, it’s ready to be served!
