Vegan Hot Wings ★★★★★1 review

Serves 4 | Prep time: 20 mins | Cooking time: 30 mins


  • 1 x Deliciou Plant Based Chicken (140g packet)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 240ml water
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil


  • 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 1/2 Tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cracked pepper
  • 1/2 cup soy milk


  • 1 Tbsp hot sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp soy sauce

Ranch sauce

  • 1/2 cup vegan mayo
  • 1/2 Tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • cracked pepper to taste
  • chopped chives to garnish


  1. Preheat oven to 200C/325F. Combine the Deliciou Plant Based Chicken mix with salt, water and vegetable oil. Rest for 20 mins.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine dry batter ingredients (sift if necessary). Add soy milk and whisk until smooth.
  3. Shape ‘chicken’ mix into approximately 12 wing-sized pieces. Coat in batter mixture and bake on lined baking tray for 20 mins.
  4. Combine glaze ingredients in a small bowl. Brush the wings with the glaze and return to oven for 10 mins.
  5. Combine ranch ingredients and top with chives.
  6. Once wings are done, serve immediately.
